Bridget O’Keefe is a real estate and land use partner who has focused her practice primarily on zoning and land use law, landmark preservation, legislative representation and handling governmental regulatory matters. Ms. O’Keefe has worked on behalf of developers and corporate, non-profit, and institutional clients on land use and zoning matters before the Chicago City Council, the Chicago Plan Commission, the Chicago Landmark Commission, the Chicago Zoning Board of Appeals, the Chicago Transit Authority, the Chicago Park District, and over 45 suburban governments. Her work has involved a wide range of commercial, residential, industrial, office and institutional projects involving planned developments; property tax incentives; tax increment financing and other economic incentives; zoning amendments; special uses; street vacations; annexations and subdivision issues; landmark designations; licensing matters and miscellaneous government regulatory issues. Prior to joining Daspin & Aument, she was a real estate partner at Altheimer & Gray and Michael Best & Friedrich

 She also served as the Lakefront Planning Director for the Chicago Park District. As such, she was responsible for overseeing development and planning for long-term capital projects on Chicago’s lakefront and served as a liaison with the Chicago museums and the Lincoln Park Zoo. In addition, she has extensive experience with federal and state governments through her work for former Congressman Marty Russo in Washington, D.C., and as an attorney for Speaker Michael Madigan and the Illinois House of Representatives.

 Ms. O’Keefe has spoken extensively on historic preservation and land use matters and has been a guest speaker at local law schools. She’s active in the community serving on the Board of Commissioners of the Chicago Housing Authority (past Chairman of the Finance and Audit Committees) and is a member of Chicago Real Estate Executive Women, the Board of Advisors of Catholic Charities and Leadership Greater Chicago. 

Since 2006, Ms. O'Keefe has been recognized as an "Illinois Super Lawyer" an honor given to five percent of the lawyers in Illinois.  She will be included in the 2010 edition of Best Lawyers in America.  Ms. O'Keefe has also achieved the rating of AV (the highest rating available by Martindale-Hubbell).

Ms. O’Keefe earned her B.A. from St. Mary’s College, her M.A. from Catholic University of America and graduated cum laude from Georgetown University Law Center.
