Steven J. Rothschild is a real estate attorney with over 30 years of experience in the legal field, specializing in retail leasing and commercial real estate transactions. Mr. Rothschild has represented both national retail developers and retail chain stores during his career from both the legal and business perspectives. As to his experience on the business side of retail leasing, he has served as a site selector for a few national retail chains, as well as a director of anchor leasing for a national retail developer. From the legal standpoint, he has drafted and negotiated leases and all ancillary documentation related to retail shopping centers and malls, as well as industrial and office projects. Further, he has represented both landlords and tenants in the resolution of lease disputes in a number of situations, thereby providing him with a broad viewpoint which makes him highly effective in bringing these matters to a successful resolution. During the course of his career, he has worked with almost every major retail developer and REIT (Real Estate Investment Trust) in the U.S. and Canada. Additionally, his experience includes the acquisition and sale of retail and industrial projects.
