Daniel J. Kopp

Dan Kopp focuses his practice on commercial real estate transactions, particularly leasing, lending, acquisitions-dispositions and development. He also has extensive experience in dealing with distressed properties on behalf of owners and lenders. Mr. Kopp’s landlord clients include national and regional developers and other institutional owners of office, industrial and retail spaces. He also represents developers and institutional owners in the purchase and sale of office, industrial, retail, multi-family and mixed-use properties.

Mr. Kopp is Chairman of the Plan Commission of the Village of Willowbrook. He has been designated as a “Super Lawyer” (a publication listing the “top attorneys in Illinois”) for several years. He has also achieved the rating of AV (the highest rating available) by Martindale-Hubbell.

Mr. Kopp speaks and writes frequently about issues related to real estate law. He serves as instructor of a multi-week course in Real Estate Law and Risk Management as part of an industry accreditation program for the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA). He is on the Board of Advisors of Commercial Tenant’s Lease Insider, and has participated in numerous articles for that publication. He has also participated in numerous articles for Commercial Lease Law Insider.
